Bkb: Opals earn another shot at gold

The Opals will be hoping third time's a charm after they stormed into another women's
Olympic basketball gold medal match with a commanding 90-56 victory over China.

Playing without PENNY TAYLOR, who failed to warm-up and must still be in doubt for
the final against the US on Saturday, the Australians still had too much class and experience
for the host nation.

LAUREN JACKSON was solid, despite revealing during the week she needs ankle surgery
after the tournament, while KRISTI HARROWER, BELINDA SNELL, LAURA SUMMERTON and ROHANEE
COX all stepped up in TAYLOR'S absence.

The Opals are now assured of at least another silver, but the world champions are desperate
for Olympic glory after twice losing to the US in recent campaigns.
