QLD:Body of flood victim may have been found

BRISBANE, Dec 1 AAP - It's believed the body of a woman missing in floodwaters in central
Queensland has been found.

The RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter joined the search on Wednesday but said it had called
off the operation.

"... it's believed the missing woman's body has been located," the helicopter service
said in a statement.

Police could not immediately confirm the find.

The 55-year-old woman had called for help after her car became stuck in floodwaters
between Middlemount and Dysart, southwest of Mackay, on Tuesday morning.

Rescue workers found her car later that day, as they searched floodwaters caused by
heavy rain around Golden Mile Road, at Dysart. But there was no sign of the woman.

The search resumed on Wednesday morning.
