DARWIN, Feb 26 AAP - A nine-year-old boy who died after a branch fell on him at a Darwin
school never had any hope of surviving, a coronial inquest has heard.

Aidan Bott was eating lunch when a branch of an African Mahogany tree at St Mary's
Primary School hit him on the head on August 22, 2006.

The Year 4 student was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with severe brain damage, where
he remained in a coma for a week.

The schoolboy died on August 29, sparking a territory-wide inspection of all schoolyard …
