Television and movies stress outer beauty as one of the necessities of life. This belief has been integrated into mainstream society and is the cause of millions of breast implants, liposuctions, and facelifts. It has also resulted in numerous cases of bulimia, anorexia and other hazardous eating disorders.
My beliefs are opposite to those portrayed by the media. I have learned that it is one's spirit that makes you beautiful, not the mask worn daily by the human population.
